With Natural Breast Augmentation, Dr. Gregory Park offers a combination of surgeries that results in an improvement in body contour and an increase in breast size. Liposuction is performed which reduces and harvests areas of unwanted body fat. The fat is prepared and transferred to the breasts. If you desire a option for breast augmentation that does not require a man-made implant, then the natural breast augmentation may be the right surgery for you.
Breast Augmentation With Fat transfer in San Diego
Do you often wonder why some thin women have large, perky breasts? Do they have implants, a good bra, or are they just naturally gifted? A problem with implants is that they are man-made devices that may not last forever. Revisions may be required in the future to replace ruptured, sagging or malposition implants, or to address capsular contracture or other complications. Implants are not the only answer to increase breast size. There is an alternative to breast augmentation without the use of implants which will give women a more natural and subtle increase in breast size.

Fat Grafting or Autologous Fat Transfer for breast enlargement
If you have concerns or don't want the long-term worry about breast implants, but still want larger breasts, an increase in breast size can be accomplished using your own fat. If you have extra fat in areas that would benefit from liposuction, this fat can be harvested with liposuction and transferred to the breasts. Fat grafting involves harvesting fat from one or several parts of the body, after which it goes through a washing and purifying process, and then carefully re-injected into the breasts. The procedure may need to be repeated several times to achieve the desired result. Swelling, commonly seen after fat injection, generally resolves within 2-3 weeks.
Fat Grafting Advantages and Disadvantages
Fat grafting is a technique that has been around for a long time, but more recently growing in popularity. Fat is one of most well tolerated fillers available to aesthetic and plastic surgeons, and thus has applications not only for breast augmentation, but also for cosmetic and reconstructive uses in other parts of the body. Its natural-appearing result lasts a long time, and is safe. Perhaps most importantly, it spares the patient the inherent risks associated with breast implants. There are three obvious advantages for the use of fat grafts for breast augmentation.
- You achieve larger, natural feeling breasts without the need for an implant.
- There are no large scars on the breasts.
- Areas of fat on your arms, back, abdomen, or thighs that are resistant to exercise and dieting, are sculpted and reduced in size.
There are disadvantages, too. The amount of fat that survives the transfer procedure is generally about 60% or more with permanence after about 4-6 months. Surgery takes longer than a standard breast augmentation with implants, because the liposuction and fat processing portion of the procedure adds extra time. The breast size increase is limited to the availability of the donor fat and the space available within your own breasts. Don't expect to increase your cup size from an A to a D after one surgery. If this type of an increase is your goal, the natural breast augmentation may be accomplished by staging your surgeries or by pre-expanding your breasts prior to surgery using the BRAVA external expander device.
Results of fat Grafting to the Breasts
If your goal is to achieve very large breasts with a single operation, then this may not be the surgery for you. However, if you desire a natural result using your own living tissue as opposed to a man-made, manufactured breast implant, which may eventually rupture, leak, or result in other complications, then the Natural Breast Augmentation using your own fat can provide you with the results that meet your expectations.
