This patient had a history of an upper eyelid blepharoplasty performed by another surgeon in San Diego 4 years ago. The patient consulted with Dr. Park because she, her friends, and family felt that her eyes always appeared sleepy after her surgery. Her previous surgeon had recommended removal of additional upper eyelid skin. However, Dr. Park diagnosed her with a condition known as ptosis caused by the incorrect positioning of her levator aponeurosis, which is part of a muscle that opens her upper eyelids. She trusted Dr. Park’s diagnosis of her problem and underwent ptosis repair. She is so happy with her results, because she, her family, and friends noticed an immediate difference and improvement in the appearance of her eyes.
