Doctor’s Comments
This patient underwent lumpectomy and radiation therapy in the left breast for cancer leading to different sized breasts. Because of the size difference she found it difficult to find bras that fit. She also had issues with chronic back and shoulder pain due to the size of her breasts. She consulted with Dr. Park, who recommended a breast reductions for both breasts. During surgery, the right breast was reduced by 340 grams and the left by 150 grams. Postoperatively, the patient was very happy that her symptoms were resolved and her breasts were more symmetric and lifted. Bras also fit better and her bra size was reduced from a 40DD to a 40D after surgery.
