This patient was concerned about hardness in her breasts and chest tightness due to her silicone breast implants. She said that the implants caused constant discomfort especially when she tried to lay face down. She had a history of breast augmentation using silicone implants, placed 30 years prior, under the muscle. Size of the implants were not known. Her bra size after breast augmentation was 34C. Size prior to surgery was A.
The patient underwent removal of her breast implants, total capsulectomy, and breast lift. After surgery, she states that she is now pain free. 3 months after the removal of her implants, her breasts returned to her pre-augmentation size and shape, 34C to 34A.
