Doctor’s Comments
This patient had undergone a breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon in the Midwest using saline implants placed above the muscles through inframammary fold incisions. She was not happy with the appearance of her breasts. Patient felt that her implants were too large and had rippling. She also felt that her nipples were too low. She wanted to downsize and exchange her implants with silicone to reduce her rippling. She had her saline implants deflated in our office which removed 400cc of saline from each implant. After allowing the pocket to shrink for several months, 270cc Mentor Smooth Xtra Moderate Plus silicone breast implants were placed above the pectoralis muscle. After breast augmentation this patient’s bra size was decreased from 34D to 34C. Her rippling and nipple positions were improved. Before and after photos show her results at 3 months.
