Doctor’s Comments
This patient had a history of breast lift and breast augmentation using saline implants, placed 16 years ago in Texas, under the muscle, through wise pattern breast lift incisions. She said that her breasts were too large. The breasts sagged off the bottom of the implants and the implants slid up to the clavicles and into the armpits when she would lay down. Size of the implants were 450cc on the left and 460cc on the right. Bra size was 34F. The patient underwent deflation of the implants in our office reducing her breast size to about a full B on the right and small C on the left before her revision surgery. The surgical plan was to downsize the implants and revise the breast lift. She also wanted to fix the malposition of her implants while laying down. Dr. Park performed her revision breast surgery, which consisted of removal of her old submuscular saline implants, placement of new smaller Mentor MemoryGel round silicone implants above the muscles, and redo breast lift. The size of the new implants were 150cc. After surgery, her implants no longer slide into her armpits and the breast size met the patient’s goal for a Full C. Her before and after photos show her results 6 months after surgery.
