This patient had undergone breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon several years ago. She developed a deformity in the left breast due to capsular contracture. To improve the shape of the left breast, scar tissue around the implant was removed (total capsulectomy) and a new implant was placed in the scar-free breast pocket.
